Colombia accuses Venezuela of blowing up border bridges

The latest of the incidents causing tensions between the two neighbouring countries happenned on the border of Colombia's Norte de Santander region on November 19, 2009. Colombian Defence Minister Gabriel Silva has accussed Venezuela of blowing up two pedestrian bridges on countries' shared border, which was according to him a clear violation of international law. A Venezuelan official responded by claiming that the army had just blown up an illegal, improvised bridge.
